Orientation for New Students - Trimester 3, 2026

Orientation Week

Orientation Week, or O-Week, is the week before classes commence. Every student is required to attend Orientation prior to commencing their CHS studies. O-Week provides all the information you need to know to commence your CHS course from Monday 28 September 2026! 

 

Orientation will be conducted on campus and is an opportunity for you to learn about your rights, safety and wellbeing in Australia, your requirements as a student, the support services CHS provides, and to connect with your academic team and classmates. Orientation provides all the information you need to know to commence your course.

Save the Date for Orientation @ Your Campus

Orientation is a full day event, please make sure that you are available for the full day.

  

Students are asked to arrive at 9:30am to register, proceedings commence at 10.30am and Orientation will wrap up around 4:00pm. 

Brisbane Campus: Tuesday 22 September 2026

Bring your laptop or device!

​You will need to bring your laptop or device on the day for a special Online Account session with IT Technical Staff who will help you access your online accounts so you can Get set for Success! â€‹

If you require enrolment support, or have any question at all don't wait until O-Week! Reach out to Student Services by lodging an enquiry or visiting campus Monday - Friday between 9am - 5pm. 

Award of Credit / Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

If you have completed previous studies, or have relevant professional work experience you may be eligible for credit towards your course. Applications for Credit and required supporting evidence must be lodged through the online application form no less than ten (10) working days before the census date of a student’s first study period at CHS. This is to allow time for the application to be assessed and any enrolment variations to be completed before the census date. For more information refer to the CHS Recognition of Prior Learning Policy and Procedure

Please Note: Students who have been awarded credit must accept the credit via their Letter of Offer. If a student has already accepted one offer, they will be issued a new offer which includes any relevant credit/RPL.

 

Students who have received Conditional RPL’s must submit official transcripts relating to the unit/s no later than 3 working days before census date of the students first study period for this credit to be applied as well as confirming acceptance of the credit outcome.
