Campus Time Zone Differences During Trimester 1, 2026

Important information for Brisbane students!

The time zone in Sydney and Melbourne is currently Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT). Brisbane's time zone is Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) and does not change during the year. The time zone difference means that Sydney and Melbourne are one hour ahead of Brisbane.

This means that:
  1. Classes in your Student Portal are scheduled in Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT).
  2. Brisbane students who enrol into an online class and their lecturer is located in Sydney or Melbourne need to attend the online class one hour earlier than the time in Brisbane until Week 9.
  3. When online enrolment opens, Brisbane students are asked to carefully select classes to ensure your on-campus classes don't clash with any online classes that may be available to you.

Daylight savings ends towards the end of Trimester 1, 2026 on Sunday 5 April 2026. All states will be back in the same time zone from Monday 6 April 2026.
